Senior Pastor

Our Senior Pastor, Mike McCamey, has been equiped with the

ability to shepherd the flock at First Baptist Church by nurturing,

caring for, and guiding us toward on-going spiritual maturity and

becoming like Christ. Pastor Mike, his wife, Cindy, and their

children, Jenny and Jared, came to us from Southern California

in 1994. While born, raised and educated there, Pastor Mike's

heart is to follow Christ in ministry wherever he leads. As a ten

year old he sensed God's desire for him to become a follower of

Jesus. Yielding to that did not reveal the ultimate career that

awaited him. Later, as an adult volunteer in his local church, his

pastor identified some leadership potential and invited him to

become part of the church staff as the minister to youth. The

responsibility and investment that was entrusted to him

blossomed into other roles in the church, culminating as he

became Associate Pastor. Our previous pastor, John Jackson,

upon his resignation recommended Pastor Mike to become our

next pastor. Thus began his self-proclaimed "best years of his

life."
