Connect, Grow, Serve

Preschool

 Age 2 - Kindergarten

Please label all personal items with your child's first and last name before arriving at our child's class.  This helps us keep track of your child's items.

Your Child's Health
We operate a well-child program.  For the protection of all the children in our care we cannot accept a child with any sign of an illness, i.e. fever, cough, diarrhea, runny nose (due to a cold).  Thank you for helping us create a safe environment for our children, their families and our volunteers.

When You Arrive At Your Child's Room
A leader will meet you at the check-in area to receive your child and any other items.  Please check in and note any information that will help in caring for your child such as allergies or any special needs.  Please list your cell phone number on the page and put your cell phone on vibrate.  If we need to contact you for any reason regarding your child we will call your cell phone.

At the time of check-in, a leader will apply a numbered security tag to your child's back and give you the corresponding tag.  We will verify that your security tag matches the tag on your child and then we'll release your child to you.  A child will not be released to a parent without presenting the proper identification.

After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick good-bye and leave for the worship service or your Bible Study class.  As you know, it is normal for little ones to cry when a parent leaves.  This does not last long, and separation becomes easier over time.  Our leaders will immediately create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return.  If your child cries for an extended period of time, we will call your cell phone.

Activity Centers
Children are encouraged to participate in opening activities such as building with blocks, coloring a picture, working a puzzle, preparing a pretend meal, or reading a book.  The teacher will use these activities to reinforce the Biblical truth for the day.

Teaching Art Project
Children will create an art project to help reinforce the focus and theme of the lesson.  Encourage your child to show you his or her craft and discuss the Bible verse and story.

Playground
For 15 minutes, your child will get to release some energy on one of our age appropriate outdoor playgrounds.

Worship Time
Each classroom will have fun with songs, motions or games to help children prepare for story time.  Prayer is always a part of our worship time.

Story Time
Bible stories are told in a clear and meaningful way that is easy for children to understand.  They will learn basic biblical truths they can apply to their young world.  A Bible verse is always used to emphasize the theme and focus of the lesson.

Snack Time
A snack is provided for your child during our second service.  The snack usually coordinates with the Bible point of the day.  Please inform your child's teacher of any allergies during the sign-in process.

Check-Out Process
To retrieve a child from our classrooms you will be required to provide the duplicate security tag that you were given when checking in.
